As a Senior Database Administrator, you play a crucial role in ensuring that our business-critical data is always available, secure, and reliable. From designing resilient architectures to troubleshooting performance issues, you'll help keep our systems running smoothly, enabling the business to thrive with confidence in its data foundation.

Your tasks

* Ensure database system availability in a 24×7 environment, including out-of-hours on-call support
* Design, implement, and maintain sound backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) procedures
* Monitor and troubleshoot performance and concurrency issues to optimize database efficiency
* Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain multiple SQL environments following company standards and best practices
* Implement and maintain database security in line with corporate IT security guidelines
* Design and enhance database architecture and maintenance tasks, ensuring scalability and resilience
* Provide guidance on SQL Server internals to development teams and support application code releases
* Proactively identify potential issues and raise business awareness before they impact operations

Your profile

* Higher technical education (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
* Solid expertise with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 and Azure SQL
* Experience managing multi-terabyte databases and highly concurrent OLTP transactions
* Strong background in SQL Server administration: performance tuning & monitoring, backup strategies, capacity planning, user access & security, business continuity, and disaster recovery
* Familiarity with SAN storage, Windows, or PowerShell scripting is an advantage
* Experience with version control tools is a plus
* Passion for SQL Server internals and a continuous improvement mindset
