What to expect:

  • Shape the platform - Define the architecture and roadmap of our future digital platform, evaluate cloud technologies, and guide countries on adoption and legacy integration.
  • Drive global integration - Analyze existing systems across multiple countries and design strategies for seamless, secure, and reliable data flow.
  • Engage stakeholders - Collaborate with Retail and Bancassurance teams, translate complex technical challenges into actionable business insights, and advise senior leaders on technology strategy.
  • Ensure governance & compliance - Establish architecture guidelines, align with internal and regulatory standards (e.g. GDPR, local insurance laws), and support scalable solutions across diverse legacy systems.
  • Manage risks & operations - Identify risks and dependencies, develop mitigation strategies, and work with DevOps, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions (CI/CD, IaC, optimization).
  • Lead & innovate - Mentor teams, foster best practices, and explore AI and data-driven innovations to shape the future of digital insurance.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of InsurTech experience, with focus on digital insurance middleware
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes: underwriting, policy admin, claims, billing, and customer engagement
  • Proven experience designing multi-channel sales platforms and scalable, resilient distributed systems (APIs, white-label front ends, middleware, microservices, legacy modernization)
  • Solid knowledge of Java, web technologies, and DevOps principles
  • Independent, proactive working style with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in agile environments
  • Ability to drive decisions and consensus across multifunctional, international teams
  • Fluency in English

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience or strong interest in AI/ML use cases (fraud detection, claims automation, customer insights)
  • Familiarity with InsurTech trends and emerging technologies
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and relevant certifications
  • Background in multi-country projects with regulatory and localization nuances
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of CEE/SEE languages and/or German
